Washington Families - don't forget that we are hosting a sock drive for our local Salvation Army for the month of October!!
Parents, send these in with your student, or bring them in yourself on Friday 10/17 when you come for the Quarter 1 Awards assembly! The 4th Grade assembly is at 1:15 and the 5th Grade assembly is at 2:00. We can't wait to see our families and the new socks we can get donated!!

Yesterday, October 1 (the first Wednesday of October), is National Coffee With a Cop Day. We had State Trooper Semmerling and State Trooper Smith join us for "coffee" (apple juice) and cookies. They took time to answer questions and show us all their equipment. One student even challenged Trooper Semmerling to a race!

Washington School will be doing a "Socktober" event starting October 1st! We will be collecting new socks of any size to donate to the Salvation Army. A box will be placed in Washington's entryway for students to drop off their donations throughout the month of October. We can't wait to see the box fill up!

Don't forget about Washington School's Hat Day tomorrow, 9/12/15 for our Field Trip Fundraiser!! All students can pay $1 and wear a hat to school. All funds collected we be put towards our field trip funds for this school year!!

Students are starting to earn "Lunch with the Principal" in Mrs. Meisner's office with a movie!! Students can earn this by saving up Washington Bucks and purchasing this at the school store or by completing their Math and Reading Log at home!!

Washington's School Store opened for business this week, and business was good! Our students have already earned a lot of Washington bucks for their hard work and positive behavior choices. The year is off to a great start, and we are looking forward to what is to come.

Students can earn the ability to read the morning announcements by earning points with their Reading and Math Log activities completed at home!! Mrs. Nollen loves the help and the students feel empowered when they do this!!

Today was an exciting Math Day! 🎉 Students rotated between classrooms, learning various games that could count for our math logs. They even got to take home math kits filled with supplies and game directions! 🏠✨ Huge thanks to Mrs. Adcock for planning this fantastic event!
