The Junior High baseball team played a double-header against St. Mary’s on Saturday, August 29th. The Warriors lost game 1 by a scored of 15-0. Niko Harris had the lone hit.
In the second game, Pontiac won 9-1. Harris led the team with 4 hits, while Evan Baird and Zach Berry each added a pair of hits. Roy Alvey, Avery Baird, and Corbin Konetski all added a hit.
A. Baird started the game at pitcher, throwing for 3 innings and giving up just 1 earned run. Kellin Carter and Harris each pitched two innings of relief without giving up any runs.
After a long heat wave, the Warriors were back into action on Sept. 7th against a powerful and undefeated Dwight team. Dwight hit well and defeated the Warriors 21-0. Pontiac managed 3 hits against the Redbirds, as Zach Berry, Easton Williams, and Brady Harms got on base.
Last night the Warriors notched another mark in the win column as they beat Gardner 13-0. Ty Abraham led the team with 3 hits, while Zach Berry, Jase Pshak, and Marquis O Neal each added 2 hits apiece. Easton Williams, and Aiden Melvin each added a hit.
Maxx Davis took the win for the Warriors, pitching 4 innings and giving up only one hit.
