The PJHS Math Team completed their season on Thursday April 23rd at the Streator Northlawn Math Competition. We had 4 teams compete at this event. Two 6th grade teams, a 7th grade team, and an 8th grade team. The contest started with 10 estimation problems for each student from each school to participate in. Mitva Chaudhari and Leah Mackinson each came away with a win! The teams then completed an individual test and a team test. Our teams worked hard, worked together, and did their best! In addition to the estimation winners, PJHS walked away with 4 team awards. 3rd Place among the 6th grade teams. Ryder Mrozek single handedly won 3rd place among the 7th grade teams! He was our lone 7th grade team member! Did it all by himself! 3rd Place among the 8th grade teams. And to top off the evening, PJHS earned 3rd place overall! It was a great end to our season. We participated in two competitions this year and represented PJHS with pride and respect. Congratulations to our 8th grade teammates that will be moving on to PTHS next Fall. We hope our returning team members will join us again for the 2027 competitions!
