The Pontiac Junior High School Math Team competed at the Livingston County Math Contest on Thursday April 9th at Caterpillar in Pontiac. Various teams from our county participated. PJHS had 3 teams attend. We had two 7th grade teams and one 8th grade team.
7th Grade 1 - Ryder Mrozek 7th, Ben Brown 6th, Flynn Lyons 6th, Jace White 6th, and Trey Henkle 6th.
7th Grade 2 - Emerson Fenton 6th, Soumya Mulinti 6th, Leah Mackinson 6th, Olivia Jensen 6th, Mitva Chaudhari 6th
8th Grade - Sophie Shepperd 8th, Addy Frazier 8th, Delaney Saylor 8th, Beckett Ahearn 8th, Nicholas Marshall 8th
All teams and members did a great job representing PJHS. They worked hard, did their best, and had fun.
PJHS 8th grade finished 3rd among the 8th grade teams. 8th grader Addy Frazier finished 2nd in the individual standings for 8th grade. Our 7th grade teams are young and look forward to the opportunity to compete again next year.
We have our last competition on Thursday April 23rd at Streator Northlawn.
