The Jr. High Volleyball teams played twice this week, Roanoke-Benson on Tuesday, and El Paso-Gridley last night.
Against R-B, the 7th grade team lost an exciting match, 22-25, 28-25, 13-25. Scoring for Pontiac was Makenna Pennington with 10 points, Harper Davis 9, Dallas Ahlers and Grace Harder with 4 each, Jade Baldwin, Cali LaValley, and Kamora Jones each with 2, and Hattie Thompson with 1.
The 8th grade lost 21-25, 16-25. Scoring for the Warriors was Ella Huncovsky with 8, Addie Frazier 6, Sophie Shepherd 5, Bree Sperka 4, Maya Ray 3, and Chloe Dearth 2.
Against El Paso-Gridley, the 7th graders lost 8-25, 15-25. Scoring was Harper Davis with 5 points, Grace Harder with 3, and Jade Baldwin with 2.
The 8th grade team lost 15-25, 5-25. Scoring for the Warriors were Ella Huncovsky with 6, and Chloe Dearth and Bree Sperka with 1 each.
The Warriors play next on Monday night, February 23rd, in Normal against the Chiddix Chargers. Game time for the 7th grade is 4:30 pm and the 8th graders to follow, around 5:30 pm.
