Last week, our 8th graders traveled to the Challenger Learning Center for a field trip sponsored by Caterpillar Inc. They were able to experience a Mars Mission Simulation and two STEM Challenge activities. Students worked to find evidence of life and water on Mars, to build and launch a remotely operated vehicle (R.O.V) to explore the surface of Mars, and to ensure the health and safety of the crew. In the Discovery Lab, students completed an activity with Windmills and Energy, and coding with Spheres.
