The Pontiac Jr. High Volleyball team opened up with a couple of wins on Monday night against Northlawn. The 7th grade team won 25-15, 25-14. Scoring for Pontiac were Grace Harder with 13 points, Cali LaValley with 10, Jade Baldwin 5, Harper Davis 4, and Dallas Ahlers 3.
The 8th grade team won 12-25, 25-12, 25-11. Scoring for Pontiac were Ella Huncovsky and Maya Ray with 19 points each, Chloe Dearth with 5, Adelyn Frazier 4, Claire Elliott, Kaeloni Jones, and Breelyn Sperka each with 2, and Sophie Shepherd with 1.
On Wednesday night, the 7th grade team lost to Ottawa Shepherd 10-25, 10-25. Scoring for Pontiac were Dallas Ahlers with 3 points and Jade Baldwin and Harper Davis each scored 1 point.
The 8th grade team also lost to Ottawa Shepherd 20-25, 16-25. Scoring for the Warriors were Ava Hammer and Maya Ray with 7 points each, Ella Huncovsky with 5, Chloe Dearth and Kaeloni Jones with 3 each, Sophie Shepherd with 2 and Breelyn Sperka with 1.
The 7th grade team is now 1-1 and play next at home against Ridgeview on Thursday, January 15th at 5:30 pm.
The 8th grade team is also 1-1 and play Ridgeview next following the 7th grade game.
