The first round of the Livingston County Tournament was held last weekend and our 7th and 8th grade boys both won and advanced.
In the 7th grade game, the Warriors won 51-14 over Saunemin. Kye Metz and Easton Gonder each scored 9 points, Braylen Duncan, Ty Abraham, and Brady Harms each had 8, Lucan Hooker and Easton Williams added 4 apiece, and Jacob Vernia had 2.
The 7th grade team is now 4-1 and play again tonight in the County Tournament at Flanagan at 6:00 pm and they will play Dwight.
The 8th graders were also impressive, winning 42-25. Kye Metz had 12 points, Karson Pina 8, Tyson Reints, Tyler Myers, and Easton Gonder each had 5 points, Dawson Shepherd and Ty Abraham added 3 points each, and Fredric O'Neal added 1.
The 8th graders are now 2-3 and play again on Wednesday the 19th at home vs. Flanagan. Game time is 6:00 pm.
