Softball Update

On Tuesday the 19th, the Warriors Softball team played at Prairie Central winning 10-7.  Maya Ray had 3 hits and 4 RBI, Adelyn Frazier had 3 hits and 2 RBI, and Kinsley Henry added 3 hits.  Laykin Newberry added 2 hits and 2 RBI, Chloe Dearth had 2 hits, and Sophie Shepherd had a hit, and Harper Davis had a hit and an RBI.  Kinsley Henry was the winning pitcher, striking out 6 and allowing 3 earned runs.

On Wednesday the 20th, the Warriors beat Fieldcrest 25-15.  After falling behind 9-2, Pontiac outscored Fieldcrest 23-6 to finish the game.  Laykin Newberry had 4 hits and 2 RBI, Maya Ray had 4 hits and 3 RBI, Kinsley Henry had 3 hits and 4 RBI, Adelyn Frazier had 3 hits and an RBI, Chloe Dearth had 2 hits and 3 RBI, Sophie Shepherd had 2 hits and an RBI, and Arianna DiNardi added a hit.  Kylie Newberry pitched for the win and struck out 12.

On the 21st, Pontiac lost to BJHS 16-3.  Adelyn Frazier and Kinsley Henry each had 2 hits and an RBI, while Laykin Newbury, Maya Ray, and Ella Huncovsky each had a hit.  


On Saturday, Pontiac lost to Metcalf here at home 15-2.  Maya Ray, Adelyn Frazier, and Tatum Burgess each had a hit.

Last night, the Warriors took on cross-town rival St. Mary's and lost 19-3.  Harper Davis had a hit and 2 RBI and Adelyn Frazier had a hit and an RBI.

The Warriors are now 2-7 and play their next game at home against El Paso-Gridley on Thursday the 28th.
