On January 30th, the 8th Grade Volleyball Team Played Bloomington Junior High School. The Warriors won their match during the third set. Set 1 was 25 - 14 PJHS, Set 2 was 23 - 25 BJHS, and Set 3 was 25 - 23 PJHS. Scoring for Pontiac was Thompson with 8 points, Serna with 5 points, Hicks with 3 points, Branscum with 7 points, Crawford with 9 points, and McCabe with 14 points.
The following day, the Warriors played Chiddix, where we lost in the second set. Set 1 was 13 - 25 and Set 2 was 19 - 25. Thompson scored 2 points, Serna scored 4 points, Branscum scored 3 points, and McCabe scored 4 points.
Over the weekend the 8th Grade Team played in the Livingston County Tournament. Their first game was against Odell. The Warriors won in the third set. Set 1 was 25 - 10 Pontiac, Set 2 was 24 - 26 Odell, and Set 3 was 15 -7 Pontiac. Scoring in this match was Thompson with 3 points, Serna with 14 points, Rapp with 2 points, Branscum with 9 points, Crawford with 7 points, and McCabe with 5 points. Their second match in the tournament was against Prairie Central. The Warriors won again in the third set. Set 1 was 27 - 25 PJHS, Set 2 was 22 - 25 PC, and Set 3 was 15 - 8 PJHS. Scoring in the second match was Thompson with 6 points, Serna with 15 points, Rapp with 5 points, Hicks with 2 points, Branscum with 2 points, Crawford with 4 points, and McCabe with 4 points.
