District Update: The Board of Education approved the budget last Thursday. The projections show a balanced budget across all operating funds. The Board of Education has been aggressive in using new state dollars to fill gaps in our school system. We have added a social worker, math interventionist, and school resource officer this year with the additional dollars from the state. We are only funded at 68% of adequacy and that needs to continue to be a conversation with legislators as being unacceptable. The following district goals were also approved:

-Increase the number of students reading at grade level

-Increase the number of students performing at grade level in math

-Develop and implement a social-emotional-physical learning curriculum

-Provide a K-8 STEAM program for all students
