Grading Policies for Art Class

Art class has different grading policies from those of regular classrooms. Students work at different paces therefore the class is divided into two different due dates.
The first date is the progress report date. All work up until that date is due at that time. Students are notified as to the projects which are due. All work after that time is due at the end of the quarter. If work is turned in before the due date, the student will receive full credit for the assignment. If the work is not turned in by the due date, the student will receive an âFâ.
Assignments are graded by requirements outlined by the teacher on the assignment, by rubric, and by teacher evaluation. Students are told the requirements, shown the rubric or given an oral evaluation by the teacher. All students have the right to discuss the grade with the teacher. Students may request a report on their grade at any time or may use TeacherEase with a parent.
