DISTRICT #429 EDUCATION FOUNDATION

Mini-Grant Proposals

The District #429 Education Foundation was formed in October, 1996, with a goal of providing supplemental financial support for the students and staff of Pontiac Grade School District #429.   The Foundation members have worked very hard in the past to raise funds to fund this additional support.  Most recently, the Foundation had a food booth in downtown Pontiac during the Thresherman’s Parade.

Currently, the Education Foundation has graciously been able to award almost $12,000 to teachers through mini-grant requests.  For the 2007-08 school year, mini-grant requests will be discussed at the October 11th and February 14th meetings.  Foundation meetings are held at 6:00 pm in the Board Room at Central School.  Due dates for mini-grant requests will be October 1st and February 1st.  Forms are available in your school office or you may contact Jill Amm at the District Office.   Any staff member submitting a mini-grant request should attend the Foundation meeting to give a brief overview of the request.

Education Foundation members for 2007-08 are:  Nicki Rosenbaum, Stacey Shrewsbury, Amy Duffy, Nancy Davis, John Mehlberg, Paula Warren, Judy Hoffrichter, Jane Meiners, Kathy Bertsche, Dan Gschwendtner, Tom Blakeman, Lori Schrock and Dale Newsome.
